Crimson Fire has signed a long-term agreement to lease the former American La France production facility located just 15 minutes away from its current operations in Lancaster, PA.
The facility was constructed in 1982 specifically to manufacturer aerial trucks. With almost 62,000 sq. ft., the facility provides excellent manufacturing capacity, multiple bays for service and refurbishment work, outdoor facilities for aerial device and fire pump testing, and newly remodeled office and conference room space.
Relocation activities are scheduled for completion by the end of October 2010.
The growth of Crimson’s aerial division has been driven by an experienced engineering and sales team that continues to bring cutting-edge technologies to fire departments around the world.
Customers benefit from innovative features Crimson has developed, including:
• The only “greaseless” ladder in the industry – featuring the patented Roller-Assisted Slide Pad (RASP) design
• A ladder lift-cradle that enables greater maneuverability of the ladder: -10 to 90+ degrees of operation
• The X-style outrigger system for enhanced stabilization and additional compartment space
