I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Volk to the position of General Manager for Spartan ERV – Brandon, SD, beginning on July 13, 2012. Joe brings an exceptional business management skill set to his new role with Spartan ERV, where he will be responsible for leading the Brandon campus. His previous successes in leading transformational change management programs will be very beneficial to the Brandon campus during its period of significant change.
Joe not only brings over 20 years of manufacturing and customer management experience to Spartan ERV, he also brings with him Lean Six Sigma, ISO/OHSAS, ES&H and Quality Management experience. He comes to us from Terex Utilities, where he served as Director of Operations for two SD facilities. At Terex, he was responsible for HSE, Lean, Manufacturing Engineering, Site Operation Management and Sourcing.
Prior to his work with Terex, Joe served as the North American Lean Production Systems Manager for Doosan (Bobcat), Ingersoll-Rand in North Dakota. He was with Bobcat for 20 years in various positions such as Site Operations Manager, Lean Production Systems Manager, Strategic Business Unit Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Product Design Engineer.
Joe has an MBA from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, Global Corporate Executive Program out of Bloomington, IN and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD.
