Crimson Fire Completes Montgomery County Order

Crimson Fire would like to thank Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service for their partnership and recently completed 39 unit order that will allow the organization to replace a significant portion of the fleet that serves the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Crimson Fire was exceptionally pleased to have been selected by Montgomery County to supply its new fleet. The professionalism and commitment of both Crimson Fire and Montgomery County contributed greatly to the success of each quality built apparatus.

The new fire apparatus utilize previously purchased Spartan Gladiator® LFD cab and chassis with extreme duty interiors. The Crimson SE body utilizes an exclusive heavy duty tubular construction to provide long-lasting durability and improved strength.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service is a full-spectrum life-saving agency that protects the nearly 1 million people who live and work in Maryland’s most populous area. Under the direction of County Fire Chief Richard Bowers, MCFRS has a budget of more than $190 million and employs more than 1,200 career staff. The organization has an almost equal number of volunteers, nearly half of whom are actively involved in emergency response.
