Jim Salmi receives the Technical Committee Chairman's Award.


Jim Salmi, Chief Operating Officer for Crimson Fire, was awarded FAMA's Technical Committee Chairman's Award during the Technical Committee Meeting on April 23, 2010 in Indianapolis during the FDIC show. Each year the chairman of FAMA presents an individual with the Chairman's Award, recognizing them for their service and dedication towards the FAMA organization. Jim has provided tireless service to the FAMA organization and his dedication to the advancement of aerial safety and design through the Aerial/Quint sub-committee chairmanship.

Jim has served on the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association (FAMA) committee for 23 years. The Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association (FAMA) is a non-profit trade association organized in 1946. Members of FAMA are committed to enhancing the quality of the fire apparatus industry and emergency service community through the manufacture and sale of safe, efficient, fire apparatus and equipment.
